Manila, Philippines – Renowned Afro-Asian musician Xander Pratt unveiled an enchanting array of music videos from his groundbreaking album “Fireflies: Follow the Magic” during a captivating listening party at The Balcony in Poblacion, Makati City.

The captivating “Fireflies: Follow the Magic” album boasts a collection of 17 mesmerizing tracks, including the debut single “Way Up.” This empowering RnB anthem celebrates self-love and is accompanied by a music video shot in Basilan, Philippines.

The video’s artistry not only captivates the audience but also repositions the island’s image from its tumultuous past to an inspiring creative haven.

Spanning the Philippines’ 17 regions, the music videos for all 17 tracks have been masterfully filmed across the picturesque landscapes of the country. This dynamic visual storytelling mirrors Xander Pratt’s deep connection to the regions, thanks to the support of Earthsavers UNESCO Artist for Peace organization, which played a pivotal role in Xander’s artist residency in the Philippines. This collaboration paved the way for Pratt’s devotion to the Afro-Asian music genre.

Originally from Zimbabwe and a multitalented artist encompassing music, painting, and fashion design, Xander Pratt’s journey has taken him from Morocco to Australia. Influenced by Morocco’s rich and vibrant culture, Pratt’s artistry reflects the kingdom’s royal heritage, akin to the Afro-Asian royalty seen in some of his music videos. His achievements include being named “Artist of the Year” by the International Youth Center in Malaysia. Now, he embarks on the “Fireflies: The Asia Tour,” commencing in the Philippines and spanning destinations like Singapore, Malaysia, Korea, and Hong Kong.

The listening party at The Balcony was highlighted by Xander “XP” Pratt’s introduction of music videos for hit tracks such as “In the Blue,” “The Way You Move,” and “Vogue,” filmed in different regions of the Philippines.

Notably, “Vogue” emerges as a standout from the album, challenging beauty norms and embracing diversity through the portrayal of gender expressions. The music video features the Philippine Ballroom Community’s youth and the Vougers from the iconic House of Mizrahi Philippines, under the leadership of voguer dancer and house mother Xyza Ragunjan. The video exudes punk rock aesthetics, symbolizing the youth’s evolving spirit and non-conformist culture.

“In the Blue” transports viewers to a nostalgic love affair set in the 90s, while “Way You Move” portrays a transcendent romantic journey across oceans. Both music videos radiate with emotion, accompanied by visuals that resonate with boundless freedom and unity.

The music videos for “Fireflies: Follow the Magic” were masterfully produced by AsiaTV, led by Regine Guevara. You can watch these captivating narratives on Xander Pratt’s YouTube channel, a testament to his artistic brilliance and dedication to bridging cultures through music and visuals.
