These MUAs Share Makeup Looks That Go With Your Face Mask

These days, it is quite challenging to serve some seriously stunning beauty looks. We are all required to wear face masks to not only protect ourselves from the virus, but to also be mindful of other people’s health. Public trips mean covered faces, and it is sometimes discouraging to boast your makeup skills and look at your best! But, don’t throw away your makeup stash just yet! You can still glam up under that face mask, and still feel like your old, cute self.

Needless to say, it is all going to be about the eyes. Make your eye makeup look more dazzling than ever, and you’d still slay this beauty game.

Stylish Magazine has asked two professional makeup artists to share their simple tricks to accentuate the eye area of your face.

Are you into k-beauty eye makeup? Makeup artist Kat Munar has some tips for you.

Having been in the business of makeup artistry for five years, Kat has worked on a number of fashion editorial shoots for magazines, celebrity makeup looks for TV shows and professional bridal makeup for clientele. She’s had both local and global courses to master her craft—from School of Fashion and the Arts & Maquillage Professionel here in Manila, Cameron Jane Makeup Design in Sydney, Australia to Scandinavian Makeup Academy International in Bangkok, Thailand. She’s also had one-on-one training sessions with Albert Kurniawan, the brilliant makeup artist behind the looks of fashion influencer Heart Evangelista and Miss World 2013 Megan Young.

Currently, Kate is very much into k-beauty. Watch this video below to learn some Korean-inspired makeup to brighten up your eyes while wearing a face mask!

For her base shadow, Kat used the shade of Vita from the Amore Palette of Teviant. To create an outer V shadow, she used Dolce shadow from the Amore Palette of Teviant. For her inner corner highlight and Aegyo undereye, this makeup artist used Etude Bling Bling Eye Stick in Gold Meteor. For that little sparkle on her center lid shadow, she used Stila Glitter and Glow Eyeshadow in Gold Goddess. For volumized lashes, she used cult favorite Lash Curler from Shu Uemura.

To add definition while making the eyes appear a little bigger, she used MAC Fluidline Eyeliner Gel in Dipbrown. For that extra fun on the eye area, she used Heroine Make Volume Super Waterproof Mascara for the upper lashes. Then for the bottom lashes, Maybelline PushUp Angel Mascara was her choice.

You can highlight your eyes effortlessly with a revamped au naturale look.

Makeup artist Charisse Daily spilled some eye makeup secrets in the video below. Boasting more than 32,000 followers on TikTok, Charisse has acquired a loyal social media following not only for her funny TikTok videos, but also because of her passion for sharing makeup and skincare secrets on her platform. She held down her professional makeup artistry by finishing a number of professional cosmetic courses at the Makeup Science Asia. Since 2018, she has worked on various professional beauty looks, including some editorial work for a fashion magazine in New York, USA.

For this beauty look particularly emphasizing the eyes, Charisse started her tutorial with her regular skincare routine using these products: Céleteque Hydration Toner and Jeju Aloe from The Face Shop.

Then she shaped her eyebrows with LA Girl Brow Pomade in Soft Brown, and brushed brow hairs with a spooly for a more natural-look. For more defined brows, she used L’oreal Infallible Full Wear Concealer in Nude Beige on the lower lid of her brows, then Fenty Beauty Pro Filt’r Hydrating Foundation to shape the upper lid of the brows. She then blended both concealer and foundation really well with a small Beautyblender Sponge for a smooth finish.

She also used L’oreal Infallible Concealer as base for the eyeshadow. For nude brown shades perfect for daily looks, she used Tarte’s Tartelette Flirt Eyeshadow Palette for her eyeshadow. For fuller lower lashes, she used Benefit Cosmetics BadGal Bang Volumizing Mascara.

She then brightened up her forehead and cheek areas with Fenty Beauty Pro Filt’r Hydrating Foundation and L’Oreal Infallible Concealer, then she topped it off with Airspun Loose Face Powder for a flawless finish.

For fuller lower lashes, Charisse used Benefit Cosmetics They’re Real mascara. She capped off the look with a subtle nose line using Benefit Cosmetics Hoola Matte Powder Bronzer.

Try these simple makeup tricks and all eyes will surely be on you!
