‘Stick to the Fun’: Hello Glow Launches SPF 60 Sun Care Stick
Manila, Philippines — Hello Glow has officially launched the newest addition to its sun care portfolio: the Hello Glow Sun Care Stick SPF 60+ PA++.
Referred to as the #SPFSuperstar, this new product reportedly has the highest SPF rating among stick format sunscreens in the market. And just as sun care and skin care now go hand-in-hand, it’s boosted with luxurious and nourishing active ingredients, too.
Hello Glow’s launch party titled “Stick to the Fun” was held recently at the Island in BGC, Taguig City. Hosted by Aiyana Perlas, the highlight of the night was a beauty talk featuring well-loved Youtuber and skincare influencer Jan Angelo and board-certified dermatologist Dr. Jaja Lao-Ang. Brand founder Denice Sy joined the two to discuss Hello Glow’s newest Sun Care Stick, as well as expounding on sun care trivia and debunking a few skin care myths.
What impressed Jan the most about the product was the four UV filters present in the formula namely Ethylhexyl Methoxycinnamate, Ethylhexyl Salicylate, Zinc Oxide, Diethylamino Hydroxybenzoyl Hexyl Benzoate — further solidifying its SPF strength. He expressed his love for the presence of Cica among the active skincare ingredients too, which guarantees “that the product is soothing” and suitable for those with acne-prone and oily skin like Jan.
Dr. Jaja did a live demonstration on how to re-apply the Hello Glow Sun Care Stick over her makeup on stage. The sunscreen stick effectively blotted and mattified her skin, and seamlessly glided over her face without messing her makeup. Host Aiyana exclaimed how there was barely any transfer on the sunscreen stick afterwards, too. Jan mentioned that the Hello Glow’s Sun Care Stick is lipid-based, so that in itself already prevents bacterial growth, so “no need to worry about it being unhygienic.” However, when applying over make-up, it doesn’t harm to wipe it after every use.
“We wanted sunscreen to be fun and something we can be consistent with. So the more often you use it throughout the day, the better,” Denice said.
Dr. Jaja agreed that people should “stick to the fun” when it comes to their sun care choices, because you should want to wear it daily. As a final word of advice, Dr. Jaja recommended using a traditional liquid sunscreen as base, and then layering the Hello Glow Sun Care Stick over for maximum protection.
Before the Hello Glow Sun Care Stick launch, Hello Glow’s already has a best-in-class range of superior sun care products; such as their O.G. 3-in-1 Lightweight Sun Care Gel which has a watery formula, to the Anti-Pollution Tinted Sunscreen which utilizes tone-adapt technology, to their Ultralight ++ Sunscreen which has a serum-gel consistency, as well as their early summer release, the Sun Care Lip Balm with SPF 20! All of these can be used together with the Hello Glow Sun Care Stick SPF 60+ PA++ for the ultimate sun protection.
In attendance were dermatologists Dr. Irene Gail Robredo-Vitas and Dr. Bea Chan; beauty pageant title holders Miss World Philippines 2022 – Gwendolyne Fourniol, Miss Charm International 2023 1st Runner Up – Annabelle McDonnell, Miss Intercontinental PH 2023 – Iona Gibbs, Miss World PH Tourism 2022 – Justine Felizarta, Miss World PH Charity 2022 – Cassandra Chan, Miss Eco PH 2022 – Ashley Montenegro, Miss Philippines Fire 2023 – Sha’uri Livori, BB Pilipinas Congeniality 2022 – Eiffel Rosalita, Miss Universe Philippines Congeniality – Shayne Maquiran; and social media personalities Michelle Dy, Norikuh, Onie de Guzman and Natalia Ortega; among other influencers and media friends.
