World-renowned Korean actress Son Ye-Jin of Crash Landing on You fame is the latest star to join the prestigious #ValentinoDiVas. 

#ValentinoDiVas, as described by the Italian luxury powerhouse, is “a magnetic collection of personalities and stories”. DiVas in this new Valentino campaign stands for DI.fferent VA.lues, an answer to creative director Pierpalo Piccioli’s search “to re-signify the codes of Valentino”. 

Piccioli described the modern DIVA as a complex character of codes upheld by inner values. “A diva is simply someone who lives within the power of her values, and observes a mantra of empathy and connection,” Piccioli  said. The designer also noted that the campaign is based on “equality, inclusivity, and empathy”, the core values of the luxury brand.

Son Ye-Jin, currently gracing all the official social media platforms of Valentino, is featured in high fashion photography by Mok Jungwook, under the direction of Piccioli. Valentino described its newest Korean ambassador as  “free, fearless and independent”, and “a symbol of strength and free-thinking for the newest chapter of #ValentinoCollezioneMilano“. The actress was also announced as the newest voice of the ongoing #ValentinoCollezioneMilano series.

#ValentinoCollezioneMilano is a collection that expresses a “radical attitude through a creative mix”. With rebellious spontaneity, Pierpalo Piccioli has envisioned a “romanticism that rethinks the rules” in fashion.

The first DiVa who was introduced by the luxury house this March 2021 was American actress Zendaya, who modelled for Valentino’s latest line of stud bags. Meanwhile, the first chapter of #ValentinoCollezioneMilano was presented last February 2021.

Son Ye-Jin is expected to star in more upcoming fashion editorial photos and videos for the Italian luxury fashion house. Previously, Son Ye-Jin was introduced as the face of Crocodile’s woman apparel, as well as Smart Communications Inc., a leading telecommunications service provider in the Philippines.

Son Ye-Jin‘s K-Drama Crash Landing on You has achieved a massive, record-breaking viewership success globally, particularly in South Korea, Japan,  the Philippines and the United States. The ultrastar was recognized with a Hallyu Drama Best Actress Award at the 15th Seoul International Drama Awards for her role in the hit series.
