Manila, Philippines — Fashion retail brand Plains & Prints is launching a new collab collection with Filipino fashion designer Rosanna Ocampo.
Rosanna has been a fashion veteran for 12 years, imparting her feminine and flirty pieces designed for the modern, independent, fashion-loving women. Her designs are usally beaming with colors, prints and fun details that make for an aesthetic that’s eternally tropical and girly.
Plains & Prints teased the collection during its launch event held at the 1120 House at The Metropolitan Club in Makati City recently, which showcased some frocks in polka dot prints, some with fringe and eyelet details, dresses and tops with ruffles, pieces with puff sleeves, and some fun coordinates.
Roxanne Ang Farillas, vice president of Plains and Prints, shared that the collection is the brand’s first collaborative collection since the global pandemic, and the second one with Ocampo.
“We really think we should go back to how was it before. This is actually our first collaboration again after two and a half years. And it’s our second time to work with Rosanna. And it’s such an exciting collaboration. We love working with Rosanna,” Farillas said in a video interview shared on their brand’s page.
“We love her energy, enthusiasm and her creativity in making this collection,” she added.
Manila’s it-girls like models Mika Lagdameo-Martinez and Kelly Misa, as well as actress and brand endorser Anne Curtis, graced the event donning some ensembles from the collection.
Meanwhile, the fashion designer shared in the video interview that her second collection with Plains and Prints came with pieces that “are the real essence of my brand.”
“These pieces transport you to a memory, whether a memory you’re about to make, or a memory you had in the past,” Ocampo said. “Travel is always a big part of our aesthetic.”
The Plains and Prints x Rosanna Ocampo collection will be available at the Plains and Prints physical and online stores starting July 19, 2022.
