Attention minimalist style lovers and athleisure fans! A collaboration between Nike and Jacquemus is coming your way.
Although vibrant neon fabrics are often associated with sportswear, it appears that the French fashion house is heading to a different direction as the collab series with the sports giant is going to be filled with neutral colors and sleek designs.
Jacquemus teased the collection on its Instagram page.
In a statement, designer Simon Porte Jacquemus said he wanted to create a collection that “reinterprets athletic women’s sportswear in a minimal wear.”
Pieces from this line will also take inspiration from vintage ACG pieces and Nike campaigns from the ’90s.
The collection will feature a variety of new designs consisting of unisex footwear and accessories, meaning you can purchase two pairs of shoes to match your boyfriend!
The Nike x Jacquemus line was described as “comfortable anywhere, anytime.”
Vice president and general manager of Nike Global Women’s said in a previous interview that fans should look out for more collaborations during the brand’s 50th anniversary, as they would really focus on the comfortability of the consumers living in the post-pandemic world.
“Women are still loving the idea of comfort and versatility. What we’re seeing them do is start to mix it up with something more tailored and structured as they head back into the world and back to work,” she added.
As seen on a few teaser photos online, the color palette of this collaboration is leaning towards the dominance of brown, beige, and white tones. Tops, shoelaces and the footwear line itself can also be seen in the images.
The Jacquemus x Nike collab line will be available on June 28 across Nike’s global retail network.
