Her womenswear brand of the same name, Nicole Miller, has been in the historic garment district of New York since 1982– known for its luxe fabrics, innovative silhouettes and sophisticated aesthetic that’s all about elegance with a hint of rebellion. It has grown into an international fashion brand loved by not just New Yorkers, but global fans alike, winning the loyalty and respect of celebrities like Angelina Jolie, Beyonce and Blake Lively– to name a few. A member of the Council of Fashion Designers of America, Inc. (CFDA), Miller has been the recipient of numerous industry awards such as the Fashion Group International Lifetime Achievement Award in 2012, and the Visionary Woman Award in 2014.
In the latest issue of Metropolitan Magazine, the iconic American fashion designer shared how the fashion landscape is changing in terms of aesthetic and functionality due to the current global pandemic, that can be seen in the Spring 2021 collection of Nicole Miller. The multi-awarded fashion visionary noted that the current times have made her lean on peace and love for inspiration– channeling the bests of style from circa ’60s to ’70s in her latest designs.
