New York Fashion Week is back! Here are some of the NYFW highlights so far this season:
1.Lil’ Kim at Christian Siriano Spring/Summer 2022 Show
’90s hip hop queen bee and rapper turned up at the heat at the New York Fashion Week S/S 2022 Christian Siriano show in a red fluffy minidress by the designer. Siriano’s runway presentation was one of the first live events to kick off this season’s New York Fashion Week, which lasts until Sunday, Sept. 12.
The rap artist also reunited with iconic stylist Patricia Field of Sex and the City fame.
Christian Siriano was inspired by his Italian family background. You may view our review of his new collection here.
2. Camila Mendes at the Collina Strada
Actress Camila Mendes was such a lovely sight at the Collina Strada show with her hot pink belly-baring co-ords filled with silk bows. She paired it with a pair of orange bright orange Giuseppe Zanotti sandals, which interestingly works.
Seems like Camila’s bright colors of choice go well with the concept of the show, as Collina Strada showcased a lot of orange hues on her runway for Spring/Summer 2022.
3.Harlem’s Fashion Row
The black creatives are once again honored during the Harlem’s Fashion Row. In 2007, Memphis native Brandice Daniel founded Harlem’s Fashion Row in an effort to provide multicultural fashion designers with the financial, professional and creative support to build independent fashion businesses. Harlem Row’s 14th Annual Harlem Fashion Show & Style Awards took the spotlight as Vogue EIC Anna Wintour helped in honoring black fashion visionaries, like Carlos Nazario with this year’s Editor of the Year award, Zerina Akers with her Stylist of the Year Award and Christopher John Rogers with his Designer of the Year Award.

4.Kate Spade New York
Kate Spade New York is going for something new this NYFW season, as the brand celebrates the resilience of New York with the installation of a live apple orchard in the Meatpacking District. After the event, the apples and apple trees will be donated to Materials for the Arts, a New York-based organization that collects unused materials for upcycling purposes.
Gossip Girl Reboot’s Savannah Lee Smith, who plays mean girl and PR aspirant Monet de Haan, showed up at the event in her black kate spade jumpsuit.
Beanie Feldstein also made an appearance in her tiger printed dress and pink kate spade purse.
Hollywood A-lister Katie Holmes also showed at the event in a blue green dainty dress.
New York Fashion Week‘s new season shows the resilience of fashion after more than a year of global pandemic.
