Nadine Lustre Donned More Than 70 Fierce Looks in Her Wildest Dreams Visual Album
Filipina artist Nadine Lustre finally released her much-awaited debut visual album Wildest Dreams. The 30-minute film featured songs that are indeed dreamy, with their wide range and lyrics that truly tell stories and let you into the innermost thoughts, fantasies and dreams of Nadine.
The overall story concept of the music film is exquisite, almost like a lucid dream that you don’t wanna wake up from. The seamless transition from one film to the next tells a story of self-rediscovery, love, redemption and vision. Equally amazing is the way its fashion amplifies the narration vividly.
Styled by Lyn Alumno, the Wildest Dreams visual album showcases brilliant creations by Filipino fashion designers. Nadine served more than 70 fierce looks, each one ingeniously showcases idiosyncratic creativity and sartorial elegance. These are our favorite fashion masterpieces from the film:
Dance With Danger
Set in a cosmic world, Nadine’s first song is Dance With Danger, which is seemingly about a forbidden love. The visual aspect of the song is about a girl who’s finding her place in the universe. The artist stuns in this red avant-garde number:

The beauty editorials are so stunning too:
This corset number is remarkable:
The corset with long sleeves is by local brand Just Bonita.
White Rabbit
The visual story of this second song is about the celebrity life of Nadine as she navigates the many responsibilities of a star and the complexities of fame. Each scene is rich in eccentric aesthetics that let you into the complicated world of show business. My fave part is when Nadine is being glammed up like a mannequin, causing some goosebumps as you understand what it feels like to be like a product being sold into the celebrity business.

The most eye-catching style moment is Nadine dancing in this custom-made reflective look by Renan Pacson:
Glow
The song Glow lyrically is seemingly about wanting to be free, running away from the feeling of being held back. The visual story though is a continuation of White Rabbit, where Nadine is seen as a mannequin, as if being presented to the world as another business product. There’s a sense of getting the power back though, as she expresses that she can be in control of her own vision and narrative.

Ivory
The film for Ivory is hands down my favorite. Although the intro for the song is about the singer’s advocacy of saving the nature, the song that follows lets you into a love trance. This track gives off that romantic, sensual vibe. The music video highlights Nadine in a sexier choreo too, in this custom-made Pat Trinidad couture:
Other fashion creations featured are by Yong Davalos, Snazy Swim Monica Rae and Jude Macasinag:
Wildest Dreams’ executive producer and Nadine’s real life love James Reid of course made a cameo in this love-filled video:
Grey Skies
This R&B techno track features Nadine in a pop star moment, with her more upbeat choreo in statement outfits. The vibe is reminiscent of Jennifer Loez’s Waiting For Tonight music video in some of the dance parts.
This music video also brilliantly incorporates a couple of Filipinina couture moments, highlighting elaborate butterfly sleeves, like this Job Dacon terno inspired by Juan Luna’s masterpiece Spolarium:
This video featured couture works by Yong Davalos, Thian Rodriguez, Job Dacon and Yves Camigue.
Wildest Dreams
The visual interpretation of the carrier single of the album Wildest Dreams stays true to its concept: dreamy.

Wildest Dreams is conceptualized and directed by Dominic Bekaert. Seriously, this visual album is an amazing Filipino milestone not just in music and film, but also in fashion.
