Manila, Philippines — Heleyna Bridal Atelier bared a new romantic collection called “Monarch” described as a love letter for nature — as showcased in a catwalk presentation at the recently held Sustainable Fashion Runways at the Samsung Hall in SM Aura, Bonifacio Global City in Taguig.

“The collection is very reminiscent of our personal connection with nature, and all our natural emotions that come from it,” fashion designer Janina Camille Saspa shared when asked about the inspiration behind the collection.

“We write down these feelings, paint and sing so we do not forget the fleeting moments at present. We want to preserve these and reflect them through the collection,” she added.

The collection was unveiled during the Style Visionary Runways Manila segment of the Sustainable Fashion Runways, presented by SM Aura along with SM Supermalls last April 29 in celebration of Earth Month 2023.

Janina Camille is not new to incorporating emotional reflection into her work, as the fashion designer has been known for her love letter words embroidered in her bridal gowns meant to capture the wedding vows of her couple clientele.

The “Monarch”collection features bridal gowns made of soft, romantic fabrics — some with floral details, some with embroidered romantic words, while some with beaded appliques.

Janina Camille was joined by two other designers who also presented their collections: Ron Ramiro of Maison Ramiro, and Lorelei Bookluck of Lost Lorelei.

The behind the scenes of the runway show will be witnessed on the reels of Stylish TV on iWantTFC, TFC & MYX Global in July 2023.

Sustainable Fashion Runways is presented by SM Aura, and co-presented by SM Supermalls, Stylish Magazine & Stylish TV. The event was also sponsored by Browhaus Manila and Strip.
