After a long hiatus, Met Gala is finally back with its theme In America: A Lexicon of Fashion. As opposed to the usual 500-600 guests, Vogue Magazine’s Anna Wintour organized a more intimate affair with carefully chosen 450 guests– comprising mostly of Gen Z stars. The night’s co-chairs are singer Billie Eilish, poet Amanda Gorman, tennis player Naomi Osaka, and actor Timothée Chalamet. The annual prestigious fashion event is a fundraising benefit for the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City, which is usually organized every first week of May. Due to the current global pandemic, it’s been made into a September event this year.
