Maybelline has always been one of my favorite cosmetic brands because you can’t deny the topnotch quality at affordable price range. My sizable makeup collection through the years that’s always been updated with new products has always had a lot of Maybelline lipsticks as my most reliable everyday picks. The brand’s many, many lipstick shades that truly complement my morena skin tone, plus the fine formulation that swipes smoothly and melts nicely on my lips are the reasons why I love them. My most trusted and go-to mascaras through the years have always been by Maybelline too, and the face products are nice for daily use.

Although I’ve always known the exact reasons why I’m a fan of this drugstore makeup brand, I thought it would be interesting to truly document how my fave best-selling Maybelline products can indeed deliver (and pass the test of time lol) by wearing them for 12 hours– with no single retouch.

The Products of Choice

For face, I had Maybelline Fit Me Matte Poreless Liquid Foundation with SPF in the shade of 220 Natural Beige. For lips, I put on Maybelline SuperStay Matte Ink in the shade of Lover, and for my lashes, I used Maybelline Falsies Lash Lift Mascara.

11:00AM Ish | Starting the Day

I had a series of Zoom sessions scheduled, a couple of physical meetings outside and some errands to do yesterday so I opted to wear these products that I know can last long with not much effort. This photo was taken before I jumped into my first Zoom meeting for the day. I think I chilled a little on my bed while waiting for Zoom before I snapped these selfies at my balcony.

My curled lashes looked even more prominent with Maybelline Falsies Lash Lift Mascara. I love that the brush is a little curved, which made it easier to tap my lash hairs with the formulation, and to curl them even more with just the mascara itself. I am not a fan of false eyelashes and I won’t even need one because this mascara alone does the job for me– giving me those embellishing lashes that make my eyes look more attractive than usual.

12:47 PM| Done with Zoom and Lunch

Done with a number of Zoom sessions here and also just ate a little lunch. I had two boiled eggs and water. I love that my lips still looked colored here, and that my face still looked fresh and smooth– just perfect because I was about to head out for in-person meetings.

I don’t usually wear liquid foundation as I am more of a face powder kind of gal. But this one is an exception. Maybelline Fit Me Matte Poreless Liquid Foundation with SPF is perfect for days when I need to go from Zoom to personal meetings swiftly. I can look makeup-free on video calls with its natural-looking finish, and go about my day outside too with its sun protection. The ‘barely there’ look works for me, while the light feeling from its oil-control feature is definitely a plus since I don’t feel oily on my face, even if my skin is of combination type. I super love too that with very little application, the small dark spots on my left cheek from a previous case of maskne can be concealed flawlessly by this light liquid foundation. The 220 Natural Beige shade also complements brown skin tones like mine with a very natural look.

4: 43PM | Midday Break

Just got home from my meetings outside when I took this photo.

I headed out for physical meetings at the nearby Uptown Mall, which meant I walked 15 minutes from my house to the mall under the scorching heat at around 1:00 PM ish. I did not use an umbrella since I wore a protective face mask and a face shield anyway, plus I thought the SPF in my face foundation could help for sun protection too. During my first meeting, I had lasagna and a cup of soda. And during the second one, I had Mocha Frappuccino at Starbucks. It took me another 15 minutes of walk heading home with my face gears on.

Still with no makeup retouch at all, my face still looked oil-free and smooth, my mascara still visible, and my lips were still pretty in mauve pink with Maybelline SuperStay Matte Ink in the shade of Lover.

11: 13PM | Taking Off My Makeup

Officially 12 hours in. Forgive the less complementing photo, but this was taken before I used my micellar water makeup remover.

More than 12 hours in, and my face still looked like I had a satin finish, while my lips still appeared to be very much hued. When I got home earlier, I took a warm half-body shower and sprayed colloidal silver on my face to kill off virus and bacteria before I went about my house chores. Had fried chicken for dinner, did a little writing, and watched a movie on Netflix. About to cap off my night in this photo– still no makeup retouch but I thought my face still looked fine and very much with cosmetics on.
