Panasonic Manila Fashion Festival: Mark Yaranon’s Rays of Hope Collection
It is all about a brighter, more hopeful vision of the future for fashion designer Mark Christopher Yaranon, as seen in his latest runway collection for Panasonic Manila Fashion Festival Season 12.
The designer and creative director behind Iconic Fashion and Mark Yaranon Designs, Mark Christopher Yaranon has been one of the leading fashion creators in Cagayan de Oro City for more than a decade. Before he found success in his own fashion houses, Mark worked as an in-house fashion designer for Carolina’s Lace Shoppe in Cagayan de Oro City for 10 years.
One to know how to overcome adversities in both life and career, this CDO-based designer has launched his newest collection titled “Rays Of Hope” at the recently held PMFF– with a parade of resortwear pieces in vibrant colors and relaxing forms for both men and women.
In an exclusive chat with the designer, Mark shared, “The title of my collection is Rays Of Hope, inspired by the promise of better days and the expectation of a brighter prospect. My collection is a play on eye-catching colors and fluid silhouettes with a relaxed attitude. Another inspiration is resortwear, just in time for summer.”
The nine designs in this collection are made of stunning materials. The silhouettes, plunging details and slits of the flowy dresses perfectly accentuate a woman’s curves and shape, which make for ideal styles during high life beach vacays. While the silk pieces for men exude a vibe that is reminiscent of Mindanao’s fashion– only modernized and more wearable.
“I used soft metallic fabrics for the ladieswear, and Valentino silk for the menswear, with PDS for their trousers,” the designer added.
