Uniqlo Celebrates 40th Anniversary With Potato Corner-Designed UTme Merchandise, Disney With Mickey Go Philippines UTme Shirts & Tote Bags

Manila, Philippines — Japanese fashion brand Uniqlo is celebrating its 40th anniversary this year. In Manila, it kicked off its anniversary festivities with the Thank You Festival last May 24 to June 2 along with exciting promotions,
free gifts, new UTme! designs, and interactive in-store experiences.

UNIQLO Philippines launched a very special edition of its Thank You Festival as a message of deep gratitude toward every customer who has embraced the brand over the years. During the festival, new services, exciting promotions, and limited-edition UNIQLO novelty items were made available for all those who shop in UNIQLO stores nationwide and on UNIQLO.com/ph.

Uniqlo stores in the Philippines featured “Thank You Mirrors” wherein customers were able to take selfies in their favorite Uniqlo outfits.

Sustainable Effort

For the anniv, Uniqlo also showcased pouches made together with Bukas Palad Foundation, a non-profit and non-governmental organization that provides sustainable development, education, livelihood to children, elderly, urban poor and victims of calamities and disasters.

The Uniqlo Upcycled Pouches were made from upcycled denim scraps from Uniqlo’s alteration services, too.

Popular LifeWear items were also sold at special prices as a thank you to loyal fans, such as the Womens AIRism Cotton Ribbed Polo Shirt for men and women, Womens Rayon Skipper Collar Sleeveless Blouse, Mens Modal Cotton Stand Collar Short Sleeve Shirt, Womens Cotton Relaxed Ankle Pants, and Mens Cotton Relaxed Ankle Pants – Php 990 (normally Php 1,290).

New UTme!  Designs in Collab with Filipino Brands

With the expansion of UTme! comes a selection of brand-new designs from Potato Corner, beloved global Philippine food franchise, and Studio Dialogo, Manila-based design studio.

The designs from Potato Corner, the world’s best flavored french fries, feature four hand-drawn illustrations of its adorable mascot Poco, as the cute and charming face of the brand.

These designs celebrate Poco’s fun personality – translating it into cute and playful designs that bring a burst of flavor toyour day in style.

Studio Dialogo’s exclusive design features ten fiestas (Tagalog/Spanish term for festivals and parties) from around the Philippines, such as Sinulog, Pahiyas, Higantes, and Panagbenga. In this colorful design, festivals from each region add their own unique flavor, creating fresh and vibrant depictions of Filipino celebrations.

Potato Corner and Studio Dialogo UTme! designs will also be available in select UNIQLO stores in Metro Manila.

Special Disney Mickey Go Philippines for UTme!

In collaboration with Disney Philippines, an exclusive “Thank You Festival” design featuring Mickey will be available in select Metro Manila stores starting May 24.

UTme! t-shirts and UTme! tote bags with this limited edition collaboration will be available in Uniqlo Manila Global Flagship Store in Makati City; Uniqlo SM Mall of Asia, Pasay City; Uniqlo C3 Annex, Taguig City;Uniqlo SM Megamall, Mandaluyong City; Uniqlo SM North Edsa, Quezon City; Uniqlo SM Seaside City Cebu, Cebu City and Uniqlo SM Lanang Premier, Davao City.
