Heart Evangelista’s Fashion Week Experience: New, Interesting Things We’ve Learned about the Fashionista

It’s no secret that Crazy Rich Asian and Filipina fashion icon Heart Evangelista is one of the biggest fashion sweethearts today. An ardent supporter of the industry,  she excites us with her OOTDs featuring a mix of luxury high fashion brands, street style and even unique, vintage finds.

In her latest Dear Heart vlog on YouTube, the actress and fashion influencer shared a more detailed account of her many fashion week experiences. And it was a series of interesting trivia we didn’t expect we’d learn about her.

1.Heart’s first fashion show experience was with Schiaparelli.

Heart Evangelista’s first experience was for the Couture Fashion Week in Paris back in 2017. She was invited by Paris-based fashion house Schiaparelli.

“They were doing a relaunching of Schiaparelli. It was just interesting because before the show, we were given like a tour, and like a history of Schiaparelli,” the actress said. “Everything that they created was just so beautiful and intricate and it was all couture.”

For her first couture week appearance, Heart wore a pink Balmain jacket, a pair of Topshop jeans, Gucci shoes, and a D&G bag which she handpainted.

2. Heart’s most memorable show was Gaultier’s iconic last fashion presentation, but for an unusual reason.

“The most memorable show would probably be Gaultier. It was his last show,” the fashion icon said. “I was all dressed to the nines– pearl dress, pearl hair. Everything was so beautiful.”

Heart shared that she had to leave the moment she arrived at the show location, a story she was initially shy to share to the world until now. “I had to leave because I was getting a panic attack. Because it was in a small theater. It was a double deck theater and I felt so cramped. It was a celebrated show because it was his last show, and I’m so pissed off at myself for missing it. But I felt like my mental health was first and I couldn’t breathe, so I ran out.”

“It was memorable because it was supposed to be memorable, but I missed it,” she shared.

3.Heart gets to wear archive couture from luxury houses.

“Some send you a lot of clothes, some even send you couture like Ralph & Russo, Giambatista Valli, Georges Hobeika, and Gaultier. These are all archive couture stuff. But you don’t get to keep that because they cost millions and millions,” Heart remarked.

“But they usually lend them to you for a couple of weeks for you to shoot, for you to create content for the brand.”

It is so exciting when Heart shares her passion and experiences with fashion. Watch her vlog in full right here:
