If you fell in love with Sex and the City series, then you are gonna fall in love with the upcoming Netflix series ‘Emily In Paris’.  Produced by Sex and the City creator Darren Star, the new series stars Lily Collins as an American marketing executive who has been assigned to work in Paris. Plot-wise, the show tackles on career or money moves, adjusting to a whole new culture, cherishing friendships and growing relationships. The lead star portrays Emily, a Chicago-native who doesn’t really have a background in the French capital has been assigned to Paris wherein she will navigate how to overcome culture shock, get along with new colleagues, make friends, and scout for a new romance.

We’re loving the plot so far but there’s far more exciting news about the upcoming series. Just like Sex and the City, the show teases with a parade of fashion, fashion and fashion ala Carrie Bradshaw! Patricia Field— head of costume design for Sex and the City and The Devil Wears Prada— is also the stylist for Emily In Paris! We’re expecting to see how Pat will showcase her styling prowess again with this generation’s fresher and grander obsession on OOTDs, Instagram-worthy and show-stopping fashion statements, and high fashion pieces injected into wearable ensembles! Is Emily set to be this generation’s Carrie Bradshaw, fashion-wise? Guess we will have to see!

We would also love to see how Patricia Field will change her wardrobe perspective from the urban, fast-paced city life of New York (the setting of SATC and The Devil Wears Prada) to the more romantic phase of Paris. Netflix kinda gave us an idea on what to expect about the show’s fashion sensibilities, as the live streaming platform recently released a one-minute trailer of the series that features Collins wearing ultra-cute dresses, printed blazers, vibrant coats and Parisian berets!

Emily in Paris is composed of ten 30-minute episodes and is expected to drop on October 2nd. Joining Lily Collins in the cast are Ashley Parker, Kate Walsh, Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu, and more. Expect some familiar French celebrities. The series will be exclusively available on Netflix, of course.
