Editor’s Beauty Review: Top Picks from Teviant Cosmetics

Easily one of my favorite makeup brands is Teviant Cosmetics, because you can say right off the bat that everything about each product comes with quality at exquisite level. From packaging, how the topnotch formulations nicely glide on your facial features, the superb colors, down to the inspiration behind every Teviant product– you just know that everything’s well-thought-out.

During an interview with Teviant founder Albert Kurniawan at a photo shoot we had back in 2019 (for a different publication), the sought-after celebrity makeup artist shared with me how he personally visited top cosmetic laboratories and factories in Italy for his brand. He made sure he had chosen the same chemists and creators who made 80% of the top cosmetic brands across the world.

“Since I was creating my own line, I wanted to thoroughly know what formulations we’re using for my products. I’ve always been very particular,” Albert said. His celebrity muse Heart Evangelista, who was also at the shoot, attested to this. “He always spoke of how he wanted to have a beauty brand named after his mother. He had worked on his makeup line for three years, and I would sometimes hear them talk about very specific details like the size of the particles, like ‘no pearls, or no glitter or this and that’. Because I saw what he had to go through and all the sacrifices he made for the brand, I basically dropped everything for Teviant, “ Heart said.

Since its launch in 2018, I’ve always supported and purchased from the brand because every Teviant product I’ve owned has always surpassed my expectations. And of course as part of my job, I’ve also enjoyed some PR boxes from Teviant with products I’ve totally incorporated in my daily makeup routine to this day. So I am sharing here my ultimate faves from Teviant Cosmetics, just in case you’re wondering what to get for your next makeup haul:

My personal Teviant essentials

Your eyebrows can define the overall look of your face. So I believe that you should really not miss out on Teviant’s Eyebrow Duo Powder. If you personally know me, you’d know that my eyebrow product of choice is either a browcara or a brow pencil. But I was converted by Teviant Eyebrow Duo Powder into someone who’s into brow powder too.

I love that the brush is so precise and nice that I can easily shape my brows the way I want it. While the velvety finish of the powder’s formulation looks so natural on me. I specifically love the one in Empress shade as I think it looks stunning on my morena skin tone. The darker powder from the pan can make the outer part of my brows look so defined, while the lighter shade is perfect to make the inner side of my brows look natural.

As I’ve mentioned, I love browcaras. That’s because they can set your brow hairs into making them look even more natural. And Teviant Eyebrow Gel is pretty much that ideal browcara you’d love to have. I am always using the one in Madam shade, the dark brown one.

Aside from my top 2 Teviant brow products above, another makeup essential for me is Teviant Deity Dust Face Palette. Like if you are only allowed to buy only three products from Teviant, you should choose these three as they can already help you achieve a full face.

The Deity Dust Face Palette is a full-face palette that features five colors in one pan, making it an all-in-one product for the eyes, cheeks, and lips. I love the contour powder, that I also use for my nose line. While the highlighter makes my nose bridge look standout. The peach blush-on is perfect for my daily looks. You can wet the same peach color for your lips, too!

For daily looks

The three products I’ve mentioned above are pretty much my go-to’s whenever I preen for my daily Zoom meetings.

When I’m going for brown and nude colors for the day, I also add some eyeshadow colors from Teviant x Love Marie Collection Señorita Eyeshadow Palette. I always use the Mialma shade, or the matte dark brown color as my base, then a little Papi, or the matte umber brown with gold glitter undertones for my eyelids.

To cap off my look, I use the Teviant Lip Spell x Pia Wurtzbach in Titleholder Shade for that mid-tone nude with pink undertone color on my lips.

When I’m in the mood for some peachy hues on my face, I use Fantasia or the metallic rust orange eyeshadow, also from the Teviant x Love Marie Collection Señorita Eyeshadow Palette. To complete my peachy makeup, I use Teviant Lip Spell in Claim to Fame Shade for that sugar coral color with pink undertone on my lips.

Shimmery looks

When I am done with my daily work, my idea of fun is doing outlandish makeup looks at night because it relaxes me. My beauty trick is pretty simple, and that is playing with shimmery, glittery eyeshadows in various fun colors!
