Cannes Film Festival 2021: Our Top 8 Fashion Moments from the Red Carpet Event

Besides celebrating the outstanding movies and stars from the film industry, The Cannes Film Festival is also known as an event where celebrities grace us with their high fashion choices on the red carpet. The momentous event has been running for 75 years, serving us with the most iconic fashion looks ever.

This year, the event did not at all disappoint. Here are our top 8 favorites from the Cannes Film Festival 2021:

JODIE TURNER-SMITH

The actress graced us with the ultimate festival look by Gucci. Her dress was filled with ombre ostrich feathers from the waist down. The gown was paired with a white corset top with black bedazzled cup.

The look was accessorized with a gold chain choker and earrings which was reportedly stolen following the event.

LUMA GOTHRE

Model Luma Gothre was giving us major ’70s Cher vibes with her gold jumpsuit with skirt by Zuhair Murad. The disco goddess-inspired outfit was intricately detailed with variations of gold and silver beads. The halter top with a chest cutout completed the sophisticated, sexy look.

MJ RODRIGUEZ

MJ Rodriguez, popularly known as Mother Blanca from the hit TV series POSE, was serving vintage bridal couture with a modern twist. The actress wore a silver sheer lace gown with a draped hood by Etro.

CANDICE SWANEPOEL

Besides Luma Gothre, Candice Swanepoel also walked the red carpet wearing a Cher-inspired jumpsuit. The nude sheer embellished couture was designed by Etro.

LORENA RAE

Lorena Rae is embodying a modernized version of a flapper dancer. The model walked the red carpet wearing a long back sheer dress by Ellie Saab. The outfit was detailed with silver beads and a combination of gray and nude ostrich feathers.

DIANE KRUGER

Diane Kruger opted for a simple dress but she’s elegantly serving it. Kruger was a vision wearing a sparkly black sheer tulle dress with halterneck,  detailed with silver beads across her skirt.

JESSICA CHASTAIN

Black seems to be a go-to look this year as Jessica Chastain  wore a ball gown by Dior. The look was detailed with a cage prototype inside and was lined with black curves across her body.

BELLA HADID

To wrap up our list, we have Bella Hadid here. The supermodel wore two outfits for Cannes as we previously covered here. For her second Cannes look, the model was a show-stopper with her avant-garde couture by Schiaparelli. The chest-baring black gown stunned with its golden statement necklace that resembled the look of a pair of lungs, causing a viral moment in and out of the fashion world. Seems like the model has made fashion history with this look!
