The new Holiday 2021 ad campaign for MICHAEL Michael Kors and Michael Kors Mens features a star-studded cast as designer Michael Kors himself, along with models Bella Hadid and Lori Harvey and street style star Tina Leung are all smiles for the cam. The campaign also highlights Filipino-American global influencer Bretman Rock.
“To be honest with you, when I was first asked to be a part of the Michael Kors holiday campaign, I had to make sure they got the right email. Once I realized it was real, I knew I had to do it, because it was such a full circle moment for two reasons. The first time I ever went to New York, I was walking around Central Park with my mom and she was wearing Michael Kors head-to-toe, including her MK bag. So, to be in New York, shooting a campaign with a brand that my mom and I have loved since I was younger – I can’t even put into words how much that means to me. Working on this campaign was like a love letter to my mom and how much we both love Michael Kors,” Bretman said.
“I also said a year ago that one day I would be in a commercial with Bella Hadid, because I feel like we are soul sisters, and I wanted to manifest that. Never did I dream it would happen a year later, and in such an iconic way with Michael Kors. I’m so honored that I got to meet the legendary Mr. Kors himself on the set of this holiday campaign, and I am very proud to now be a part of this MK family,” he added.
The ad campaign was photographed by Sean Thomas, with video by Shane Sigler. Shot on location at The Skylark rooftop lounge and TWA Hotel, the campaign captures the jet-set chic glamour of Bella Hadid and friends as they journey to New York City to spend the holidays, and ring in the New Year together. From plane to tarmac to a glittering holiday party hosted by Michael, each image embodies the warm, joyful spirit of the holidays, as well as the many reasons we love New York.
“This holiday season, we really wanted to capture the heart of the holidays: traveling to celebrate with the loved ones we’ve missed so much,” says Michael Kors. “And what better way to do that than by sharing luxurious gifts and hitting the town, looking fabulous while you’re on the go? We all deserve a little extra joy, love and glamour this season.”
The campaign highlights a versatile range of streamlined looks, from sleek knit dresses to cool separates in a palette of earthy neutrals, vibrant hues and dazzling silver-and black accents. Key handbags for the season include the Karlie satchel, Greenwich crossbody bag, SoHo shoulder bag and Hamilton Legacy satchel. Chain-link details, logo taping and high-shine studs infuse them with a modern-meets-classic Kors appeal.
