Happy Skin Introduces New Collab Collection With Kathryn Bernardo

If feeling good translates to looking good, this new makeup collection by Filipino cosmetic line Happy Skin hopes that the reverse can hold true as well! The new Generation Happy Skin Bloom makeup collection was conceptualized to bring the blooming effect in your beauty as epitomized by the brand’s muse: Fiipina actress Kathryn Bernardo. 

Always fresh and radiant, Kathryn cites her family and workouts sessions as the reasons behind why she feels and looks like she’s constantly blooming. However, the actress shares that using makeup helps a lot, too! Kathryn is a self-confessed beauty junkie, and she’s very particular about the makeup that she uses. Just like in her first two collaborations with Generation Happy Skin, she’s been very hands-on with her new collab with the makeup brand– from the conceptualization, development, to the launch of the new Bloom collection. “I want this new collection to make people happy,” Kathryn says. “I hope this line becomes something they can still use even in the current situation.”

Generation Happy Skin Bloom is easy-to-use everyday makeup, featuring 7 new products that make up the basics of any makeup kit. They come in sweet pops of colors designed to flatter Filipino skin tones, can be applied without tools, and offer affordable price points. Best of all, each one was chosen and tested by Kath herself!

Taking mask-wearing into consideration, the Stay Fresh Weightless Pressed Powder SPF20 (P499) is designed to be lightweight on the skin while keeping it smooth, even-toned, and shine-free. Kath prefers using powder face bases, as she finds them much easier to use and apply compared to liquid foundations. The powder is available in the shades Light Beige and Medium Beige.

Kath’s absolute makeup product is blush, and she made sure to include four shades to choose from. The On-The-Go Blush Longwear Cream Blush (P449 each) comes in Sunset (peach), Pink Fizz (rosy pink), Salty (brick brown), and Coconut (pink mauve). This adds a pretty pop of color to the cheeks without feeling sticky or greasy, and Kath even made sure to test wearing this under her mask to make sure that it doesn’t cause maskne.

The Kiss & Bloom Water Lip & Cheek Tints (P329 each) are crowd favorites in the Generation Happy Skin line, and the Bloom collection introduces two new shades to collect: Warm (burnt orange) and Cheeky (burgundy red). These handy tubes feature transfer-proof pigments you can safely wear both as blush and lip color, even under your mask.

After falling in love at first swipe with the Happy Skin Cooling Lip Gloss, Kath decided to create a similar product for the Bloom collection. The Kiss & Bloom Glossy Tints (P349 each) feature a unique gel formula that makes lips look super shiny while delivering a rich pigmentation. It also helps to keep lips moisturized and healthy, and leaves a pretty stain behind when the gloss fades. It comes in shades of Crimson (crushed berry) and Tanned (cocoa brown).

No look is complete without perfectly polished arches, and Generation Happy Skin has two offerings for our kilay obsession! Easily shape and fill in any sparse areas with the pencil tip of the Perfect Brows Eyebrow Pencil Duo (P399 each), then soften the strokes with the brush on the other end.

The Perfect Brows Eyebrow Mascara (P399 each) sets the brow hairs in place and creates a fuller brow look similar to Kath’s. Both products are available in shades of Natural Brown and Taupe.
