BLACKPINK Went High Fashion Grunge In The ‘Lovesick Girls’ MV

Everyone who has seen BLACKPINK’s music videos knows that the K-Pop queens always bring something new to the table. From trend-defining fashion to remarkable makeup looks, the girl group always makes sure to put their best foot forward.

2020 marks the year that the K-pop sensation has been scheduled to release their first-ever full-length album entitled ‘The Album’. First on the list for their much-awaited comeback is the M/V for their title track ‘Lovesick Girls’.

Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé, and Lisa are known for their unparalleled swag, effortless sexy vibe and of course, brilliant talents. It’s a challenge to take our eyes off of them when they’re singing and dancing.

The group’s maknae (youngest) had the first fashion moment for us that made us collectively gasp. The dance machine took layering to a whole new level– wearing a bedazzled bralette over a print-heavy sleeveless top worn off-shoulders. Then topped off with a dark denim jacket with puffed sleeves.Seriously drooling over that high-fashion brassier. This ensemble is grunge rock fashion meets burlesque.

We can always depend on Jisoo to give that breathtaking allure you can only find from a high fashion magazine. Her sheer long gown in pale-yellow is mesmerizing in this scene. Her beauty captivates, as always.

Like a K-Drama lead, Jisoo stuns as a princess lost in a flower field. Her off-shoulder sheer long dress is topped off with a black corset belt, accentuating her slim waist. This scene is so dreamy!!Drawing us back to the modern, real world is a rock chick Rosé in this statement orange tulle mini-skirt, matched with a leather jacket. Her pink hair screams rebel queen in this scene:Of course with that kick-ass rock star look, you’re bound to break a guitar. Lol!

And the power four are serving looks in their dance scene, of course.Jennie stole the scene in this one tbh, with her leopard-print top and jacket:Lisa  is a whole new mood in this leather jacket with bright details, reminiscent of city lights:The pink printed thigh-high boots are everything:It’s all in the details:Lisa being a bad boy:

Honestly living for this denim look of Jennie, I mean…

These plaid ensembles on Rosé and Lisa are too cool. The elevated ’90s grunge fashion with girlie details in the video is trendsetting. With this new bop and style-defining looks, being a ‘lovesick girl’ maybe ain’t that bad at all.

Everything in this music video is worth the wait. BLACKPINK clearly does not know how to disappoint.
