BET 2021 Awards Red Carpet: Our Top 10 Best-Dressed Stars

Awards season is upon us once again. And since the Coronavirus pandemic is slowly getting out of the way, a lot of awards shows are back with a live audience. That means red carpet events are taking place to showcase glamorous outfits made by renowned designers!

The most recent awards show that got us hooked is the 2021 BET Awards, which was held at the Microsoft Theatre in Los Angeles, California on June 28. The main show was hosted by actress Taraji P. Henson.

We’re blessed to see a handful of stars from the music industry gracing us with their gag-worthy ensembles. Are you ready for our top 10 best dressed from the red carpet? Let’s run it down!

ZENDAYA

Prolly the most iconic fashion moment for this year’s BET is Zendaya‘s style homage to Queen B! The actress and singer donned the same purple gown from Italian house Versace‘s Spring 2003 collection that  Beyonce wore for the 3rd Annual BET Awards all the way back in 2003– when the rising solo star fresh off Destiny’s Child made one of her first solo appearances to perform her breakout hit “Crazy in Love.” Zendaya just wore a longer version of the skirt.

MEGAN THEE STALLION

Rapper and songwriter Megan Thee Stallion is serving “body-ody-ody” in this white evening gown by John Paul Gautier. The look was very simple yet elegant as it’s detailed with crystal-embedded lining across her shoulders and hips.

ASHANTI

Ashanti is giving us the full hourglass illusion with her sheer silver gown by Julien MacDonald. The look was detailed with fringe accent along with geometrical cut-outs across her body.

TARAJI P. HENSON

As the event’s host, the audiences’ eyes are always on her. Tajari P. Henson graced the red carpet with an elegantly modern gown by Atelier Versace. The pink and yellow Versace print is highly visible across her legs and bust. She topped the look with the longest hair she could ever wear.

CHLOE BAILEY

Chloe Bailey is part of the duo Chloe X Halle, mentored by no other than Beyonce & Jay-Z. And even though only her partner Halle Bailey was recently chosen to play the role of the upcoming live movie of the Little Mermaid, she is also serving mermaid vibes in her latest look! The singer strutted down the red carpet wearing a cut-out black gown by Valentino.

H.E.R.

The half-Filipina singer is turning heads as she wears a feminized version of a double breasted coat alongside a pair of sheer pants. Her look was made by Giorgio Armani. The look was accessorized with her iconic round glasses.

CIARA

Ciara seems to have not aged a year as her beauty is visibly timeless! The R&B singer walked the red carpet wearing a head-to-toe bedazzled jumpsuit by Alexandre Vauthier.

ANDRA DAY

Not everyone in the carpet opted for a body-revealing edgy dark look as actress Andra Day wears a lovely baby pink floral gown by Rosie Assoulin.

SAWEETIE

Another half-Filipina who walked the red carpet is rapper Saweetie. She’s wearing a very revealing purple cutout dress lined with gold details by Dolce & Gabbana. Her look was finished with accessories by Bulgari.

LIL KIM

Last but not the least in our list, hip-hop royalty Lil Kim. The rapper slayed the red carpet with a simple yet heavily-accessorized look by Dolce & Gabbana.
