Inspired by its roots, 43-year-old iconic global lifestyle brand Banana Republic is reinventing itself in the form of approachable and inclusive luxury this fall season. Staying true to its heritage and brand DNA, Banana Republic aims to emphasize on bringing people joy, belonging, and meaning by starting a cultural conversation, building a relationship with diverse communities, and championing different cultural voices.
The Fall campaign brings back the fun, witty, and optimistic spirit of Banana Republic in a modern way. Putting forward an invented and dreamlike world in the form of inclusive luxury, the brand puts focus on competitive price point, as well as emphasis on quality, luxurious fabrications, and responsible design and production.
For this season, Women’s Sustainable Styles include straight-fit ankle pants, flyweight cargo jogger with core temp, high-rise straight organic jeans, high-rise slim jeans, slub cotton-modal crew-neck t-Shirt, off-the-shoulder sweater dress, fitted ribbed tank, and classic-fit poplin shirt.
The clothing line is using imagined territories as a springboard to redefine fashion, design, creativity, and sustainability- – with commitment to making better decisions such as its legacy of upcycling, conservation efforts, sustainable styles, sustainable processes, fabrics, materials, and initiatives to make the world better, one garment at a time.
On the other hand, Men’s Sustainable Styles include motion tech short, motion tech jogger, organic French terry hoodie sweatshirt, double-knit zip sweater hoodie, untucked standard-fit double weave shirt, authentic SUPIMA® crew-neck t-Shirt, and slim luxe traveler rinse wash.
Banana Republic founders traveled the world to commit to upcycling fashion- – to work on clothes to mend, modernize and make their own. That spirit of adventure and vision for sustainability continues today.
By 2023, Banana Republic aims for a more sustainable denim– focusing on water savings, which uses at least 20% less water in the garment, sourcing more sustainable fibers, as well as using more sustainable dye methods, eco-friendly finishes and trims made from recycled materials. The brand also wants to use 100% sustainable cotton– sourcing more sustainable cotton including recycled, Indian-grown organic, and American-grow cotton. Plus, the clothing line envisions to use 50% sustainable fabrics, sourcing recycled and responsible wool from vendors that are compliant under the Responsible Wool Standards; linen and recycled polyester.
By 2025, the brand also wants to reduce water impact & promote cleaner chemistry. Currently, 50% of Banana Republic products use techniques that save at least 20% of water at our facilities and use cleaner chemistry in our supply chain.
